Our Philosophy
In the belief that children are people with minds, bodies,
feelings, rights and responsibilities, we are concerned with providing a climate
in which all parts of them can grow. We think that education has to do
with the development of a person - not a mind or a body, or a psyche. A
basic goal is to help each child develop a confident sense that he is a
worthwhile person. From there, we work to help each child appreciate and
enjoy other people. We believe that it is extremely important to help a
child develop his natural curiosity and excitement about learning to
become a person who can think; who can pursue his own interests; formulate
questions that are important to him and find ways to discover answers to
these questions.
