Units
Our main topics for January will be winter and our five senses. During the moth, many stories, projects, and finger plays will be centered on these subjects.
Readiness
Readiness this month will include rhyming, alphabet and word recognition, and printing the letters Ll, Pp, Uu, and Cc. Pre-math skills will continue, with focus on the numbers 11, 12, 13, and 14.
Conferences
Just a reminder that our parent/teacher conferences will be held on January 25th. School will be in session that day.
Open House
Open House this year is March 7, 2010. During January and February, we will be saving most of the children's art projects at school to display on that day. We will explain this to the children, but you might mention it to them as well. They will be able to take everything home after Open House.
