Admissions

The Family Development Center Preschool has an open admissions policy at all times and does not discriminate on the basis of race, sex, or religion.  All people who abide by the school policies and by-laws are welcome to participate in our school.

Tuition

The annual tuition is set in accordance with a budget which has been approved by the Family Development Center Board of Directors.  Tuition is paid in nine monthly installments.  No reimbursement of tuition will be made for any continuing students. The monthly tuition is as follows:

3-year-old classes -- $90

4-year-old classes -- $115

Pre-K classes -- $140

Monthly tuition for any student entering after the first day of school shall include the normal tuition fee plus the full registration fee.

Tuition for a month is due by the 1st of the month, regardless of the number of days attended.  After the 15th of the month, a $10 late fee will be added to the monthly tuition fee and a total of $10 late fee will be added after the 30th of the month.  After the third late tuition payment of the school year, an additional $20 penalty will be added to the monthly tuition, in addition to the late fees.

For those families with more than one child in the school, a reduction of 10% will be made for the lesser tuition.

Any questions regarding these and other financial issues that may arise anytime during the school year should be directed to Krista Dignazio.

Calendar

The preschool is in session from September until the first of June.  You will have a copy of the school calendar included in each individual class section of the website.  This will show you all of the important dates that you will need to be aware of for the 2009-2010 school year.

School Closings

If the preschool needs to close due to inclement weather, we will notify you by email, the FDC webiste, and on KDKA's website (under school closings/delays).  We do not delay our school schedule.  We are either open or closed.  If we are not closed, yet you feel that it is unsafe to travel in your area, please do not feel obligated to drive in bad weather!  We do provide make-up days in the spring for any days that we missed due to snow.
