I have been a teacher at FDC Preschool for 13 years, also serving as Director of the preschool the past 5 years. Along with having my Nursery/Kindergarten certificate, I also have a BS in Health & Phys. Ed. and a MS in Elementary Education. By far, my most enjoyable and creative years of teaching have been with preschool children! My husband and I have five children ages 12-23 years old, with my oldest in college at Rochester Institute of Technology and my second oldest at St. Vincent College. We also have a dog, named Sandy. I have lived in Marshall Township for nearly 40 years and feel blessed to have a job working with such great families and their children.
I began teaching at FDC in 2006. I have taught both the 4's and 3's programs and now also teach Enrichment classes. I live in Economy borough with my husband and three children. My oldest will be attending the University of Nebraska this fall. Our family enjoys traveling, camping and biking. In my free time I like to scrapbook and bake. I have a degree in Elementary Education and over 20 years experience in early childhood education.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching at FDC. I am amazed to see how much children learn during the preschool years and am happy to be part of the process. I can truly say that I have one of the best jobs out there.
I am thrilled to be a member of the Family Development staff for a sixth year. I am blessed to be part of such a fantastic preschool program and often the children’s first school experience. Prior to joining FDC, I was an Administrator at Northern Health Systems. Becoming a mother led me to my newest passion, teaching young children, and not just my own! I started out as an Aide working two mornings a week with the 3’s; and now, I am so thankful to be with both the 3’s and 4’s, five mornings!
I have lived in Marshall Township for the past 16 years with my husband and three children. I have held volunteer leadership positions throughout the years in youth programs, Girl Scouts and at the church. Watching my children flourish during their preschool years, I came to know what a spectacular place FDC is.
I love the children; they brighten my day, and I LOVE witnessing the children blossom throughout the school year! It is truly amazing! I look forward to getting know each of you and your little ones.
I have been part of the FDC family for the past twelve years teaching in the three and four year old programs. I hold a degree in Elementary Education and previously taught both fourth and fifth grade in Columbus, Ohio. After relocating back to my hometown, Cranberry Township, I was asked to aide in the Kindergarten program at St. Alphonsus. There, I spent many years volunteering in a variety of areas. I was hired in 2003 to start up a preschool program at A Kid’s Place and shortly after was offered a job at FDC and just couldn’t turn down such a wonderful opportunity! I absolutely love working at the Family Development Center! Each day is a new adventure and real joy helping to facilitate your children’s growth and development. I also currently teach Children’s Liturgy and CVOL at St. Ferdinands church.
I reside in Cranberry Township with my husband Andy, and our children, Drew, Haley, Madison, Ian and our dog, Sadie.
